The first download from the eagerly awaited and delayed ‘We Are The Night’ album and featuring Ali Love. His vocals interconnect the electro duo’s repertoire of chords, beats and musical eccentricity. Already showcased by Pete Tong in April this track certainly seems to be generating a lot of interest. If it doesn’t kick start the 25 year old Londoner’s road to stardom then Pete Doherty is set to become a Buddhist monk. The looping of the vocals together with a baseline which buzzes into your brain like a drunken .php makes it compulsive listening. That is compulsive rather than compelling, when compared to other Chemical Brothers tracks it still manages to fall a little short. It gets you moving all the same, but with less force rather like kicking you in the ankle instead of kicking your arse.
