James Chapman, the man behind the Maps mask, is the sort of talent that should be encouraged. Preferring the diligent, hermit-like route of anonymity and bedroom twiddling to the more prevalent “if it moves, remix it” approach of today’s electronic acts, Maps is the sound of solitariness, hushed yet quietly epic. 'It Will Find You' combines whispered Jason Pierce vocals with the frosty atmospherics of Muse or Mew and UNKLE beats to create a sound that, while not being entirely unique, is as vast as the Arctic. Wrap up warm this summer.
