“Fine” is a useful word, but it doesn’t get used a lot in record reviews. Your dad might say it when he’s teaching you to ride a bike: “That’s it, Barrie – you’re doing fine.” But it doesn’t quite gush enough for us journos. Remember, we’re only doing this because we can’t be find time to write our novel. We’re not going to mess around with monosyllables like “fine”. Trouble is, “fine” suits Little Barrie just fine. “Fine” sums up their well-made, melodically-pleasing guitar pop perfectly. Do you fancy some well-made, melodically-pleasing guitar pop? Then Little Barrie will suit you just fine.
