LA based indie-electro foursome Shiny Toy Guns attempt to break the UK with this release from their KROQ approved album ‘We Are Pilots’. While they might be building a reasonable fan-base on the East Coast, clearly indie-electro means something totally different on the other side of the Atlantic as this misses all the necessary pressure points of the genre as we understand it, ie. something you can dance to. Droning male/female vocals and an inspid, out of tune chorus are backed a fairly monotonous thump. This is just cheesy American rock with synths. Baws.
