Now on their umpteenth single, Little Man Tate are perceived as one of the English music scene’s gimmicky bands that because of their comparisons to certain fellow Sheffield natives are derided by many. Ignoring all this, ‘This Must be Love’ is a catchy, melodic, and actually, erm, soothing tune. Imbued throughout with catchy guitars riffs, sprinkled with clichéd lyrics telling a teenage love story mentioning making out, breaking up, and the London Underground. A perfectly appealing tune, regardless of its generic essence.
