‘What If’s & Maybes’ is the latest offering from Bromheads Jacket, and this likeable tune won’t cause heads to turn, but will more likely be chucked on at indie parties for a jump around. With vocals and lyrics very similar to Mike Skinner, if a tad more comical- (“If maybe I was a lot better looking maybe the other boys wouldn’t have got a look in”) set to speeding Punk sounds. Think crashing drums, heavy bass lines shoved against fuzzed up guitars and you’ve got a song that’s fun and cocky rather than brilliant or original. As far as beat up Punk goes Bromheads Jacket have a decent single with ‘What If’s & Maybes’ but if you want a more mature take on music look elsewhere.
