The saxophone. What exactly is it good for? Soundtracking dodgy porn and sustaining the career of Less Than Jake, people have hung for less. Luckily though The Rumble Strips are bringing it back, back back! ‘Alarm Clock' is so fast and frantic you will have only just caught your breath as the song ends. Rapid fire drums, speedball guitars and impassioned vocals all contribute to one of the wonkiest and best pop songs of the year. Singer Charlie’s voice is unique and charming throughout and he delivers the gloriously morose line in, “People mis-understand me, ‘cos when I was made, some joker put my smile on upside down.”  If you like Larrikin Love or Mystery Jets you will adore The Rumble Strips.
