Goose are great. They are named after a ‘Top Gun’ character for a start and they make the best party music since that song that has the dance moves in the lyrics (Now everybody swim!) but good God the lyrics to this song are terrible. OK so English is not their native tongue but even some indeterminable Belgian would be better than “Ooh drop the cargo” and “Working on the teacher, what is it you seek? I wanna get with you”. It’s enough to make 50 Cent blush. Luckily they are sung over the top of a trademark Goose track so sleazy it makes John Leslie look like Cliff Richard. Synths drive head first into processed beats the size of theme parks until a gargantuan climax is reached and everyone lies back and smokes a fag. Not their best song by a long shot, Goose can do a lot better, yet this is still better than 90% of dance music around. Are you getting how good they are yet?
