XisLoaded / I Am The Door - ‘Momentum Fails’/ ‘Our Own Radio’ (Sugar Shack) Released 19/02/07

XisLoaded have toured with Biffy Clyro, InMe and Kasabian in the past. Biffy, InMe and Kasabian all went on to sell lots of records. XisLoaded did not. They took three years off and have come back with ‘Momentum Fails’ which is easily one of the most generic names for a metal song ever. The three years seems to have been spent listening to bands like Million Dead, YourCodeNameIs: Milo and iForward Russia! And have watered them all down into their own record. It’s all a bit boring and clichéd really. Much more exciting is I Am The Doors' effort. ‘Our Own Radio’ starts with a manic riff and a melody that Lostprophets would kill for. Singer Justin Percival (Seriously) yelps and shrieks in the right parts whilst carrying the song along with a catchy chorus. Neither of these songs are anything special, but ‘I Am The Door’ just about edges the race of two very irrelevant bands.
