Finally an anthem for the dissatisfied with some heart. ‘Comfort Comfort’, the new single from Reading quintet The Race is two and some odd seconds of untainted indie, all imbued with a sense of hope. Opening with a semi-sonic guitar riff and chatty bass line, the track lures you in and holds you tight before you ever even hear singer Dan Buchanan’s pleas. With Arcade Fire inspired yelps and harmonies, the five-piece manage to bang out an inspiring track leaving you with a thirst for more.
