The omens are not good for film star, Jared Leto’s band 30 Seconds To Mars. Let’s face it, when has an actor seriously made a successful band? Keanu Reeves, Russell Crowe or even ex-Neighbours hottie Holly Valance are hardly good role models – they have merely proved that they are not only shit at acting, but singing as well. It is somewhat surprising, therefore, that Leto’s band is actually not half bad – think Lostprophets without the cheesy lyrics. The music sounds slightly overproduced and may benefit from a more raw sound to match the emotive vocals, but the song is quite appealing and Leto has a strong voice. Reeves, Crowe and Valance, take note.
