The Blood Brothers – ‘Set Fire To The Face On Fire’ (Wichita) Released 29/01/07

There’s a scene in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory where wee Willy Wonka transports his unsuspecting golden ticket winners down a chocolate river of wrong. Oompa Loompas pummel away with mini strokes whilst the boat slips into a brown gooey vortex, only to be spat out safe and sound the other end. This, my friends, is the song to accompany that scene. ‘Set Fire To The Face On Fire’ is a scrawly, three-dimensional track that doesn’t need those red and blue specs to be seen. Oh no. You’ll get double vision from the drums alone and go deaf with the spawn of the devil vocals. Remember The Omen? Well Damien’s alive and kicking in The Blood Brothers. Honest.
