Faster Than A Dead Horse is taken from Viva Voce’s third album ‘Get Yr Blood Sucked Out’ and is riffed to the seams with criss-crossing guitar belligerence and the paradoxical vocals of the husband/wife duet, which combine doo-wop and Joy Zipper like dulcet tongues tipped with slicing lyrics, bight lights hurt my eyes, I hate the sun so I stay inside. The constant drum lead groove ensures dance-ability as well as rock out potential as the track is altogether taken over by some pretty raucous guitar screeching, scraping and squealing. The understated vocals are evergreen and give the track instant sunshine, guaranteed to brighten the darkest December day with glints of psychedelic colour and an audio rainbow to boot. Brilliant.
