So here’s another slice of infectious pop from The Zutons but you can’t help but feel their standards are slipping. ‘Valerie’ and ‘Why Won’t You Give Me Your Love?’ were happy go lucky tracks with a killer verse while this song doesn’t quite have the knockout punch. It’s not bad by any means but it’s when you compare this to their previous single releases that you realise that aforementioned standard slip. Abi Harding’s saxophone is the most prominent and perky part of the song but it can only take the track so far before we loop back to “it’s the little things we do” and we all get rather bored of it and switch it off.
