+44 – ‘Lycanthrope’ (Interscope) Released 13/11/06

‘The other two’ from Blink 182 eg Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus are striking out on their own and their first single is pretty much treading the well worn furrow…well, three years is a long time in music especially when all their fans were 14. This is a solid track with most of the ingredients you would expect from these guys, eg American angst, guitars, whiny voices. Incidentally, they would make an excellent high school Blink 182 cover band if this new outfit doesn’t strike gold.
