Second single from Peasslake’s finest WinterKids has got a lot of people very flustered indeed. ‘Tape It’ is the sort of single that really reminds you just how good new music can be. The band however do seem to have taken a few tips from Bloc Party’s rulebook. Including the ability to create an incredibly jaunty pop rock record with a quick and repetitive guitar and keyboard part, which incites the listener to get on that sticky dance floor and shake their bits. It fills a nice Blocparty shaped hole in the current music scene, only problem is, when Kele and Co’s new album comes out, will WinterKids fall by the wayside. Only time will tell.
