We hate to admit it but Damon Albarn is a bit of a genius. In the time it has taken Axl Rose to write one album Albarn has become an icon with Blur, a pioneer with Gorillaz and now formed a band with a member of The Clash with The Good, The Bad & The Queen - not bad going really. Any band featuring Paul Simonon should by rights be brilliant and add producer of the moment Danger Mouse and you have a recipe designed in super band heaven. Perhaps more of an experiment than a full on side project The Good, The Bad & The Queen's debut ‘Herculean’ is an electronica tinged walk down a quiet back lane on a Sunday afternoon, blissful harmony. Damn him he has done it again!
