More Milburn

Milburn really are the warm Rola Cola to Arctic Monkeys chilled Coca Cola aren’t they? We feel a bit sorry for them really, not a review goes by without mentioning the Arctic Monkeys and even we have just done it, but it is unavoidable. Like a poor tribute act they release ‘What You Could’ve Won’ from their debut album ‘Well, Well Well and surprise surprise it’s a tale of getting drunk and having girl problems. With clumsy and awkward lines like “It’s closing time and it’s getting late, can you get my coat ‘cos I am not feeling too well” the song ambles along at a reasonable pace but its indie 2006 by numbers. Here is some advice - everyone knows Arctic Monkeys are so last year.
