Media darlings Lorraine seem to have won awards without many people having really heard of them. Another band born out of the My Space generation, the Norwegian electro poppers are nice, mum friendly, and 80’s enough for the timewarp that is local radio. Their cover of Psychedelic Furs ‘Heaven’ is about as insipid and Eurovision as it gets. It swoons around, just 80’s enough to spark nostalgia, it’s just annoying and rather wimpy.
It’s forgettable and disposable, so it should fit in the current pop market nicely.
