Shame on Domino Records, normally a reputable label, for cashing in on this track. ‘Change My Mind’ is currently used on the Lynx adverts that see’s a naked man running through the streets presumably trying to find something that doesn’t make him smell like 14 year old boy with acne. The song itself is a brilliant slice of bluegrass inspired madness with vocals sounding like they were taken straight from a cowboy’s oesophagus and should see The Blueskins shift a few units, but at what cost? We’ll tell you, to be forever known as ‘the band from that advert’ joining the likes of Jet, The Dandy Warhols, Babylon Zoo and The Mock Turtles in the hall of corporate cock suckers. Perhaps we are being harsh but the album ‘Word Of Mouth’ has been out for two years to limited success and this move just looks like desperation on The Blueskins and Domino’s part.
