Rise Against – ‘Ready To Fall’ (Geffen) Released 09/10/06

With just the right mix of screamo influences, singable choruses and exciting tempo changes, ‘Ready To Fall’ is the awesome new single from Chicago-based melodic hardcore punk rock quartet Rise Against.  Despite disappointing many devoted fans with their switch to a major label in 2003, this first single from their new album, The Sufferer and The Witness, proves that the band more than deserve the big label exposure.  Vocalist Tim McIlrath adds a real strength and emotion to the song, with his rough and powerful, yet equally melodic, tune-holding abilities.  Excellent.
