With their now trademark stomping drums and ragged guitars The Black Keys already sound legendary. ‘Your Touch’ has the bluesy intensity and shot of energy to give the current crop of guitar bands a darn good kicking. Using some annoying Arctic Monkeys guitars in places, this is otherwise a slice of pure genius. Live track ‘The Breaks’ sees them cutting loose, with hints of Led Zep breaking through. The Black Keys are a genuine old school blues band, without resorting to imitations or parodies, they are just that good.
