If you listen to Good Charlotte you might as well stop reading now because The London Apartments' new EP ‘Logistics and Navigation’ seems to lodge itself on the other end of the current musical spectrum. If you want a quick description think of Sigur Ros’s vocals layered over the Postal Service’s tunes and even this doesn’t seem fair to the music. The EP ranges from thumping beats and scratchy electronics (Circuit) to manipulated sounds and haunting vocals (Streetlights are Soldiers) and is blissfully difficult to listen to, but in a great way. Don’t just listen once, twice or thrice for that matter just put it on repeat and become engrossed in the complexity and depth of the most atmospheric record you’ve heard since ‘Takk’.
