Loud enough that even when it’s paused, babies start crying, windows break, and environmental health inspectors spontaneously combust. Such is the power wielded by four kids from LA when armed with a sledgehammer riff and the sort of vocals than can only be achieved by gargling with paint stripper and shrapnel. Needless to say, ‘History’s Stranglers’ is about as heavy as Henry Rollins on a diet of lead and battered Mars bars. And the fact that it was recorded in a converted methadone clinic sums up just what a filthy, unhealthy slice of noise this is. Not recommended by your doctor then. But heartily recommended by us.
