Manchester’s Liam Frost and The Slowdown Family return with a bounding Labrador of a song. It’s all ever so friendly and enthusiastic. The vocals that sound like the Liam is talking to you down the pub over a pint after a relaxing Sunday lunch and repeating himself merrily like drunk people do. With a melody strangely reminiscent of early Lightening Seeds in parts with touches of strings and brass, this record has a happy feeling almost like a full belly. And then it just abruptly ends like it got distracted by the neighbours cat. But still it was nice while it lasted.
