The Rogers Sisters' newie 'Why Won't You' isn't bad - the indie-rock guitars and shout-out-loud vocals are right up Gigwise's street - but it's just missing that indefinable oomph that would make it a truly great record. Maybe it’s the slightly repetitive refrain of "why won't you say what's wrong, why won't anyone believe your story?" but whatever the rub, it tends to wash over the ears in a rush of un thought out guitar-driven rock. The B-side, a remix of 'Sooner Or Later' creates more interesting sounds - the drums sound like someone bashing on some park railings yet works surprisingly well - and the separation of the male and female vocals works to great effect. Still not mind-blowing, but not half bad.
