More 28 Costumes

The latest from Liverpool’s toppermost flexi oddpop lads 28 Costumes is a sweet lament about a member of the Goddamn opposite sex. ‘You Excite Me’ shows the more sensitive side of the Cossies with front man Chris McIntosh bringing out the sweeter part of his voice and it has that knack for harmony which infuses almost all Scouse forged music. It lacks the crashing chorus and taught infectious riffs of some of their best, but its lush urgency will in you over in the end. A simple tale told with excitement and a wonderfully sane look at a mad world.
