For those of you unfortunate not to be consumed by the sheer musical genius of TV on the Radio, ‘Wolf Like Me’ perfectly surmises everything that is so ****ing fantastic about this band. Opening with a metallic clatter, soon a fuzzy soul-shaking bass line and pulsating rhythms bounce off the glorious archetypal TV on the Radio vocals. It then quietly builds, reaching its dizzy zenith as the band lay off the pace, wash the listener with a sea of xylophones and gorgeous harmonies, before you’re once again bombarded with waves of clamour and abrasive static. Pefectly executed and beyond comparison, ‘Wolf Like Me’ is easily one of the best singles of 2006 thus far, if you haven’t done so already, really it’s time you tuned in.
