If there were a female accomplice to partner with Primal Scream there's no doubt Alison Mosshart, singer with The Kills would be it, and with this dreamlike partnership created, 'Dolls' the second single from Riot City Blues, has produced just as much cool, rock and sass as 'Country Girl'. This single is great, even with a chorus which only consists of 'la la la la la la' because Alison and Gillespie compliment each other perfectly both being singers who glare from under their fringes and don't give a **** about anybody else, showing their different attitudes yet becoming one with similar voices. The guitars sound a little like Bohemian Like You by The Dandy Warhols but that only makes the song more loveable, and possibly in the running for a future ad campaign. So when Gillespie shouts 'lets have a good time!' it's impossible not to, despite the glares from the lead singers.
