Taken from June's album, King Creosote offer a tastefully, summery country and western strum-a-long. A pleasant subdued burbling Hammond organ, gentle acoustic guitar, slow twang builds to a very soft rocker with lyrics like “At the back of my mind/ I was always hoping/ I might just get by.”
Well, you can’t fault the ambition can you? This single effortlessly imitates the lyrical concern’s , getting by on what sounds like an unfeasibly expensive and rich production. This is classic song-writing. Boring as hell, irrelevant as can be and this causes no amount of pain on my part as the bloke looks just like my friend Dave.
