Umpteen years and 18 hit singles down the line and Feeder are still fucking going. Okay, so maybe they’ve had one or two high points - ‘Feeling A Moment’ struck a chord with this bitter hack when ITV used it when Portugal unceremoniously dumped England out of the World Cup - but odd blips aside, Grant Nicholson and co. have barraged us with wave after wave of average, dull indie ‘anthems’. Sadly, ‘Save Us’ is no different beginning all plaintive and quiet it inevitably picks up pace, Grant lays the husky tones on thick and then there’s a ‘passionate’ driving chorus bit. Unfeasibly predictable and unimaginative, ’Save Us’? The feeling’s mutual.
