The KBC - 'Not Anymore' (High Voltage Sounds) Released 10/07/06

The KBC take us back to the eighties with their new single ‘Not Anymore’ and though its sounds like numerous other generic bands who shall remain nameless (you know who you are!) it’s actually bloody good. Kicking off with a beeping noise that is smashed away by a new wave guitar part and enchanting vocal delivery from James Mullholland The KBC showcase their blend of funk, soul and electro influenced dance beats to sweaty dance floor perfection. ‘KBC’ is a Rapture-esque funk explosion with driving basslines and pulsating beats. Whether The KBC have what it takes to connect with people on a deeper level is debatable but for 3 minute arse shaking, New Order aping sonic blasts look no further than Preston’s The KBC.
