Let’s be honest here, ‘Bang Bang You’re Dead was pretty underwhelming wasn’t it? Certainly not indicative of the shiny diamonds encased in the lump of coal that is the bands album ‘Waterloo To Anywhere’. ‘Deadwood’ on the other hand is a fantastic leather clad, sleazy rock along that encapsulates everything Dirty Pretty Things stand for. Is it about Pete? “You got the world boy, “This all you make it? You had the choice lad, You wouldn't take it” would suggest so but we will credit Mr Barat with a bit more integrity than that. Forget the past though, it’s the future we must focus on and with tunes such as ‘Deadwood’ and a frantic live act the future looks rosy for Dirty Pretty Things.
