Mmm interesting. This single is taken from the band’s second album. How come they haven’t been noticed already? This song hints at lots of different styles: with a playful noise punk start moving into a funky country type bass groove layered with a white boy indie vocal that grows a bit of, dare I say, gasp, electro round the edges. This ensures the “off-centre” tag and a spanner in the works Soulwaxesque single that makes you wanna shake along to its infectious beats. What this boils down to? Headland sound like Beck being roughed up down a London alleyway - “I’m gonna abuse myself all over the world”.
