More Scissors For Lefty
More Scissors For Lefty

Scissors For Lefty are so now you could almost pass them off on first listen as a pastiche of the current musical climate. Each constitutional reference point is there on ‘Ghetto Ways’ - new wave snyth movements, skipping guitar riffs a plenty and breathless Julian Casablancas aping vocals all packaged in a indie disco friendly sheen to shake your skinny jean rapped ass on a Saturday night. It would be easy to dismiss the San Franciscans quite easily as just another band doing the same thing as every other cat in town but this concept is quickly dismissed with ease by their further explorations into the world of reflective melodic indie-pop on B-sides ‘Save It Cory’, dream like Killers-esque starry eyed musing, and ‘Marsha’ which shows the band in off kilter, 60s pop mode and at their best. A band most definitely to watch out for.
