Veto Silver's 'Stay Young, Stay Beautiful' sounds like its trapped in permanent 80s time-warp. The shimmering synths and gently crooned vocals slowly filter though, slowly becoming more and more damn catchy. All excuse to hate them merely for their angular Human League meets Flock of Seagulls haircuts is lost. B-Side 'Streetlife' would sound perfectly at home on any Pet Shop Boys album, past or present. Gently insistent despite their naff name, Veto Silver's shamelessly retro pop-electro hybrid will sucker you in. The perfect reminder that we all kept those lyric pages from Smash Hits once, go on, join in, no-one's watching.
