Those of you who watch The Mighty Boosh will be well aware of Robots In Disguise, the Boosh’s musical mascots and occasional guest stars. They may look like the inside of Noel Fieldings mind but their sound is rooted in electronica. ‘Turn It Up’ starts off with a moody baseline courtesy of Sue Denim via Airs ‘Sexy Boy’. A cute xylophone solo sits between lyrics like “In hatful of hollow, in diamond ivy”,all creating a sleazy atmosphere. They might be associated with the words Mighty and Boosh but if they continue with tunes like this the only word used to describe Robots In Dusguise will be Mighty.
