The boy with vine leaves in his hair’s back with a second offering from new album 'Vision Valley'. As ‘Anysound’ erupts on your stereo with a sixties inspired clap and a Nirvana robbed-guitar rift you’ll recognize the sound straight away as belonging to the unhinged Mr Craig Nicholls. The madness thing really worked for Nicholls; earning him ample column space. But as is often the way for a front man in the ilk of Peter Doherty, anticipation is created for a sound as fascinating as Craig’s personal life. But there’s nothing here you won’t find on Highly Evolved and fans will either feel reassured or frustrated at the lack of progression.
