‘The Great Escape’ has provided two fantastic tunes in the past. The first being the soundtrack to the film shown every Christmas without fail, and the second been We Are Scientists block rocking single from 2005. Unfortunately Morning Runner have not been able to make another great tune from ‘The Great Escape’. It starts with a quiet strum along with Matt Greener singing “Babe I love your dreams, come drift away with me”. In danger of slipping into a coma the listener is shocked back to life with a pounding riff. The overall feel of this track is like running down a hill, its fun but you have to spend time climbing it first. Morning Runner have potential but sadly ‘The Great Escape’ is what this critic felt when the track ended.
