Perhaps the most obvious choice of single from the Soulwax-produced ‘Sexor’ album, ‘Far From Home’ struts along in a perfunctory manner, constantly in danger of letting its electro-pop mask slip to reveal the face of a Scissor Sister out of make-up. The chorus is a dead ringer for Electronic’s 1991 hit ‘Get The Message’, but the ominous piano chords that usher in the coda rescue the track as it teeters on the precipice of Mount Forgettable. Tiga may be far from home, but he’ll be far from homeless if he continues to produce chart fodder like this.
