The lead single from his phenomenally successful new long-player ‘3121’, the four foot high superstar proves he’s very much still got it with ‘Black Sweat’. A grinding, funky ditty built upon electro groves and crunching beats, it’s all very much Prince at his best. Oh, and Prince track wouldn’t be complete without the obligatory, unfeasibly high yelps, and this is ram packed with them. True, Prince may not be the average indie kid’s cup of tea, but even if it’s not you can’t deny that the man is imbued with style. On the flip side, slick as **** album track ‘Beautiful, Loved and Blessed’ is very nice, but lacks the vital substance of the opener.
