With influences drawn from the likes of New York luminaries Talking Heads and E.S.G., The Rogers Sisters' 'Never Learn To Cry' shows more in common with the likes of The B52's with guitar-driven hooks to get you wiggling on the dancefloor. 'Never Learn...' is a punky new-wave affair that'd have some of you crowd surfing - "All I have to do is dream to have you here with me...". On the flip side, 'The Clock' comes over more gutsy - the ticking hours of the clock sung as with explosive denouncement - "The time is up/ the time is down...the clock struck eleven...", the angular guitars, tap tapping drums and drone bass show more chutzpah. It's all good stuff for indie-punk purists, but for anyone else it may leave you a bit cold.
