Les Incompetents - ‘How It All Went Wrong’ (White Heat) Released 20/03/06

First things first lets get one thing straight - Les Incompetent sound nothing like The Libertines and any reviewer who says so is most probably deaf! In fact ‘How It All Went Wrong’ shits all over any of the output from the various members of The Libs since the bands demise. That’s that out of the way then, now down to business. ‘How It All…’ sounds like a wartime dancehall inhabited by six goons on copious amounts of acid. Bouncing off the walls of circus beats the vocals from Fred Bang! and Billy Bell are maniacally brilliant and lift the track from throw away indie-fop to the realms of unhinged genius. It’s simply incessant fun for the full three minutes leaving Gigwise breathless and wanting more.
