If anyone doubts young Kano’s precocious talent, then this fantastic double A side should eradicate such ungrounded views. Kicking off with ‘Brown Eyes’, packed with great lines (“I love it when you put your back on my front and my tings come alive”) it’s a slick, smoothly delivered pop gem about one man falling for a woman whether he likes it or not. This juxtaposes with ‘Signs in Life’, a more abrasive and direct track, with Kano launching into scatty raps against uncompromising beats all with a tough message that things can quickly turn for the worse in life. Both taken from his great debut along ‘Home Sweet Home’, really you’d be a fool not to invest in it.
