Being the hybrid of Coldplay and Embrace that they are, Morning Runner are giving us their MOR anthem ‘Burning Benches.’ With its ever-so-familiar-in- this-genre piano introduction, you instantly want to press that stop button and walk away, but sadly for the people who stay to listen, you are greeted by the all too familiar indie pop anthemics. With the only sign of a heartbeat in this song coming towards the end thanks to some intriguing guitars, it certainly doesn’t manage to ignite excitement. Very Boring.
