OK Go are principally known for the single ‘Get Over It,’ which was a catchy yet predictable slice of wheatus/they might be giants/ fountains of wayne type plodding pop-punk. It’s therefore very refreshing to find that this is something entirely different with 'A Million Ways'. A stab at sleazy Prince-esque pop; here we have funky guitar and singer Damian Kulash adopting an almost whispered, restrained vocal to add to the sexy feel, telling some kind of ice maid “you’re a million ways to be cruel.” Which doesn’t totally make grammatical sense but you get what he means. The band sing “1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0!” as backing vocals in a cute trick that reminds of 80s REM. If there’s a million ways to be cool this would be one of them.
