Under their new guise as The Raconteurs the musical genii that are Jack White and Brendan Benson (and, oh yes, the other two) give us this ultra limited edition double A-Side 7” that’s already fetching £50 on eBay and only the most ardent of fans or lucky twat music hacks will get their grubby hands on. Ha ha! Anyway enough of our gloating, now to the music… lead track ‘Steady, As She Goes’ is a slab of strutting, sixties inspired blues. Simple and direct it hits home perfectly and would definitely sound even better through a marijuana haze. Better things are still to come with ‘Store Bought Bones’ that’s all big riffs, big organs and dreamy vocals before it gets all epic on our asses with guitar wails, crunching drum interludes and a suitably emphatic finale. Fantastic. A tantalising taster of more sure-fire great things to come. You can keep up to date with all the latest news from Gigwise by following us on Twitter and liking us on Facebook.
