Nizlopi: shit band name. ‘The JCB Song’: fookin’ great tune. Written from the point of view of a bullied five year old ankle biter and sung with plenty of whimsical charm, this folked-up gem is the kind of song that you really think you shouldn’t like upon first listen – but you soon realise is actually quite brilliant. With wide-eyed lines like "I'm Luke, I'm five, my dad's Bruce Lee / He drives me round in his JCB," that perfectly encapsulate the vivid imagination and simplistic yet almost fantasy world that kids live in, how could you fail to be won over? Quite where the Leamington Spa duo go from here we don’t know, but this is sure to be a massive hit. Cool video too.
