It's been a while since a guitar band has made this much of an impact on the media and the charts with such deft craftiness. Almost out of nowhere came British Columbia's Hot Hot Heat and they could be the much-needed saviours of indie-pop.This album was recorded with the legendary Jack Endino ("Bleach" Nirvana) and the end result sees a polished diverse release that is set to put the willies up the likes of all things Detroit and New Rock Revolution.
The stand out single, the already massive 'Bandages', wrenched from Radio 1's playlist so as not to upset the war wounded, is the big song of the album but there's plenty more quality tunes where that came from. Think the Cure, Dexy's Midnight Runners, the Clash and Talking Heads. These guys are cool, buy this goddamn album, you'll love it.
