More The Mountaineers

"Realign them make them learn" - summarises the curious manifesto set out in ultra catchy lo-fi multi-sonic pop opening 'Self Catering', and sublimely self-catered music is exactly what you get. Second EP from the musical rock-climbers from Wales via Liverpool ties an extensive utilisation of computer software to probing ideas of digitised melodies and lyrics of haunting mystification. 'Radio Cat' betrays eerie Kraftwerkian metallic-man vocals, and 'Your Gunn Is Sett On Me' - a soul-deep, painful lament - can draw even the coldest heart out.Inventive messed up beats and mentalness ensues, "anyone want a crisp?"
